Algea is constantly projected towards the future and towards products that help people, plants and animals to live better while subject to the negative effects of stress.
Algea is deeply grateful to a large number of research institutes for work done up to now. Among the most important we would remember the University of Bristol, Portsmouth, Wales- Aberystwyth, Plymouth-Seale Hayne, Avignone and Strathclyde, the Scottish Agricultural College at Auchincruive, the Scottish Crop Research Institute, the Rothampsted Experimental Station and the Hungarian Academy of Science.

At present Algea is looking for new applications for Ascophyllum nodosum thanks to Valagro’s close co-operation with various universities.
Actually, Algea is able to benefit from the Valgro SpA Business Innovation department: since its inception, in fact, Valagro has always invested in Research and Development creating highly innovative solutions with the aim of satisfying the various expectations of its customers.
As the Group’s research and development process continues a real company strong point, Valagro is collaborating with various Universities including the University of Pisa, Bologna, Turin, Rome and Piacenza, the Sant'Anna – Pisa post-graduate school, the National Research Centre in Milan, CRA-PAV in Rome and with Metapontum Agrobios.
